At Georgia Southern University, our popular reading collections reach users across five libraries and online, from a small branch serving a campus with 1,000 students to another serving 25,000. Each selection comes with choices: a print copy we own, a perpetually licensed copy, or a metered access license. Print adds another consideration, genrefication, which shapes how readers browse and discover titles. In this session, we share how we weigh these options by matching format to reach and demand, including when an expiring license fits a title better than owning it outright.
